I just got a voicemail message tonight that I'm approved to adopt a 3 yr old creamy white chihuahua mix pup at my local shelter. I'm suppose to pick her up this saturday. I haven't figured out a name for her yet. She doesn't respond to the name that the shelter gave her but she does respond to my whistles and comes to me. I know from past experiences that dogs can distinguish various sounds and can recognize and respond to their names and various words. So I'm going to start calling her different names and see which one she responds to the most. Some of the names I have in mind are: Girlie Blondie Buttercup |

I was kind of leaning towards that name. I prefer unique original names. The name "Buttercup" came from one of my favorite movie and book "Princess Bride". I have a feeling that it's going to take a lot of patience to truly bond with her. During my brief visit with her, she seemed like she's still looking and waiting for her original owner. She seems friendly enough and healthy physically as well as personality & tempermentwise. I'll post pix as soon as my adoption is finalized.

What can I say Candie... He's Daddys Boy!!! It's kind of like having a 100 Pound Hyperactive 3 year old that can not only outrun you, but knock you down and lick your face!

I didn't think anyone would notice those! Those are my kids Halloween drawings, but Mike's right, I should probably have a "Caution: UFB (Uncontrolled Flying Bucket)" sign somewhere!
