I really have to wonder. Is what I seek so arcane? Someone (ideally, a man) in close proximity to me, who wants a more or less conventional relationship (meaning, monogamous and not terribly kinky, with a level of emotional intimacy, based upon mutual respect and admiraton, valuing compatible companionship over instant gratification) with a woman in my situation. From my experience here - and admittedly, everywhere else - there isn't anyone on SA in my local area that is seeking these things from a transwoman. There have been a few who contacted me who ~appeared~ to be looking for the same things, but I'm not at all interested in a long distance relationship or in relocating and they were not even within a distance I could begin to consider. There have been MANY that contacted me, who appeared to hold my in the least possible regard - a mere object to satisfy their curiosities and fantasies - no one with whom they would wish to share a life. It's times like these when I really wish my cat hadn't died in the house fire :-( He came closer to meeting these expectations than any man I've met, thus far. Not that he did anything for my sex life. :-\
