Here I am this morning after taking my company vehicle to have it repaired and awaiting the status. I attemtped to try "chat" after not having done so in a few years.

As far as I can tell it's still the same impersonal, superficial lack of body and substance conversation it was when last I tried it. Which is why it's called "chat".  I don't "chat" with people I talk with people and while I realize you are typing words on a page that lack emotion or the inflection you get when actually speaking with someone. I still believe it is possible to get your meaning and feeling across in words. You just have to be creative and experienced in your use of the english language.

I have always been better at communication one to one or three or four but never more than that as long as everyone is sharing their ideas and thoughts on the same subject. Alas "chat" is to me like some misshapen beast with multiple arms and heads all moving independently of each other.
